The Federal High Court of Nigeria announces with deep sorrow, the passing of her esteemed former Judge, the Hon. Justice Halidu Tanko Soba (Rtd). According to family sources, he died on the 24th of May, 2026.
He hailed from Kaduna State and was born on the 25th of November, 1946.
The Late Judge served the Bench and the Nation with excellence, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the rule of law. Throughout his years on the Bench, he was revered for his sound judgement, deep knowledge of the law, humility, and dedication to justice. His contributions have left an enduring legacy in Nigeria’s judiciary and the legal profession.
The Federal High Court extends her heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, friends, and all who were touched by his exemplary life and service.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
